Journey Route
Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Skardu Arrival
Arrive in Skardu. Rest and prepare logistics and permits for the restricted Kondus Valley area.
Day 2: Skardu to Khaplu
Drive to Khaplu. Explore the local heritage and stay overnight to acclimatize.
Day 3: Khaplu to Karmading
Drive through the stunning Machulu valley, crossing Dansam checkpost into the restricted Kondus region. Arrive at Karmading.
Day 4: Explore Kondus Valley
Experience the highly remote Kondus Valley. Visit local hot springs and get the first glimpses of the massive granite spires.
Day 5: Trek to Tower Base
Begin a rugged trek towards the base of the Kondus Towers. Camp in the pristine, untouched wilderness.
Day 6: Tower Base Exploration
Spend the day exploring the base of the towers. Incredible photography opportunities of the 6000m+ granite monoliths.
Day 7: Return to Khaplu
Trek back to the jeep head and drive back out of the Kondus Valley to Khaplu.
Day 8: Return to Skardu & Departure
Drive to Skardu and transfer to the airport for your flight back to Islamabad.
